Hello

I'm a french brutal death metal vegan guy.

I'm a student in Animal Ecology and I'd like to specialize myself in Mustelidae family. I'm most interested in evolutionnary subject and other stuff like this.

Hi.

Evolution is really interesting, always liked that palaeontological stuff, dinosaurs, cave man and so. I like evolutionary psychology too, it's an interesting point of view.

I'm not in palaeontological stuff, dinosaurs and cie. I'm curently working on mustelids (mammals), specificaly pine marten and I see its phylogeny by genetics.

You can say it like that yes ^^

I love evolution's theories, I find this really interesting. But I'm not really working on it, it's more like a passion ^^.

I give to you an example on my works if you like (sorry for my English, I understand very well, but it's not so easy for me to talk about my studies):

I'm currently studying pine marten like I said but I don't study its evolution.
Scientists have seen that marten (fishers, American marten, pine marten (Baummarder Wink ), stone marten...) present primitive characteristics other than the other mustelids.
Thus, we understand that evolutionary pressures haven't be the same for all of the Mustelidae family.
What can scientists explore are the elements at the origin of this differentiation. I you prefers, we search what have made marten like we know it now from an ancestor (in my example Martes vetus).

I, directly work on the impact of a fragmented landscape on the reproduction of pine marten. I'm more working in Biology Conservation than evolution, I must admit.
Marten are animals directly pledged to forest. But, we human are destructing forest. Thus marten have no other choice than to invest what rest of it. We know that there is marten in fragmented landscape, but nobody know if they can reproduce themselves here. So, if there is no more forest, and if there is no more reproduction, there will be no more marten, so no possibilities of further evolution for the species.

I hope you'd understand what I stand for ^^
