Unique metal band

What are for you the bands which are unique for any reason.

The first I'm thinking about is Manowar (for the best or for the worst ). Put "Hail and kill" on your radio and all fans stop talking and begin to sing.

But to me, Strapping Young Lad would be the first band i'd think at. The totally insane genius music along with this ironic, humorous attitude. They were really something special.

Oh, god knows why but I believed that Strapping was a peaceful shred metal band, it was a big mistake.

Here is a totally mad band, Cranium. Speed metal sentence is completely weak, but so good ! (Two others cd have not really interest)

"Samurai Stan" reminds me to my local heroes from Powerwolf (though they say their singer is from Romania, no comment about that ;-) ), cause they've got an aweseome track called "Saturday Satan". They're so funny, totally solid horror-power-metal with church organ, maiden riffing and so goddamn overloaded with (satanic) metal-clichés and christian pathos, at the same time creating a very dense atmosphere but being totally fun.

Powerwolf sounds good, their music is not really new, but their Look changes from the other groups of power metal.

A great band of horror heavy metal was death SS at their beginning.

Carnival in Coal was great too with their strange mix of metal and disco.
