is when i first came to vegetarianism. it came through punk, anarcho punk which had a big animal rights message. at 16 i turned vegetarian, a year later, vegan. ive never looked back!

many vegans dont realise just how big a part punk played on the rise of animal rights. many vegans i know, go there, directly or in-dircectly through punk.

Yes, sometimes I dream metal people will have as more convictions as some punk have. Metal is the best music for me, but so more bands have nothing to say.

yeah, metal just doesnt cut in with the lyrics, just all seems to be satan (the imposter) and girls!

i wish more metal bands would get a clue! hopefully, with the likes of bands like deadlock, people will start to undersatnd whats important in this world and "ethical" metal bands will appear

I hope so too. That's why I love Heaven Shall Burn and Neaera. they bring in that political attitude and are totally credible for metal people.

Another band with great political lyrics is Shadow Gallery, if you like prog metal.

There's mainly not great text in heavy, speed and black concerning politic or ethic subject. But in thrash and death, some bands give their opinion about society.
